What’s new in La Plagne this winter?

La Plagne already had a new gondola installed last winter accessing the glacier and the new ‘Live 3000’ area much faster (and more comfortably) taking 2,700 people per hour to 3,080m.

Starting from the Roche de Mio, the new gondola follows a different ascent line than the previous one, going via the Col de la Chiaupe all the way up to an altitude of 3080 metres offering a panoramic view over the Vanoise glaciers, cafe, WIFI and great instagram photo spots.

But new for 2024-2025 is AEROLIVE - open air cabins on the new gondola to the glacier! A world first, you are harnessed into an open air cabin for an unprecedented adrenaline fuelled ride up to the glacier! We can’t wait to try it.

NB: Must be reserved in advance and is at an additional cost to the lift pass of €49 (www.skipass-laplagne.com/fr/aerolive).

What’s next?

The next stage is a new gondola to join Roche de Mio from Bellecote (scheduled for December 2025).
