Ten Reasons Why We Love La Rosiere

We’d like to share ten reasons why we LOVE La Rosiere and why we think it would make a great holiday choice for you…

1. La Rosiere has one of the best snowfall records in Europe. The town centre is at 1850mts so you are very high before you even get your skis on. The new Montvalezan lift takes you up to almost 3,000mts. That makes the resort pretty snow-sure!

2. La Rosiere benefits from its close proximity to Mont Blanc and its very own micro-climate creating huge dumps of snow!

3. The resort is linked to La Thuile in Italy, offering two fabulous cultures to enjoy during your ski time. Make sure when you go to Italy you get a Bombardino con panna!...Lush.

4. Considerable investment over the last 15 years has seen a significant lift improvement scheme, bringing the resort bang up to date with a range of quick modern lifts.

5. It’s a fairly big resort these days with 200 kms of pistes. La Rosiere has made a name for itself as a family resort, with big wide blue runs bringing you gently home. If you are an intermediate skier, get yourself over to the Italian side where there’s lots to keep you going for a week. You will rarely find a lift queue and at the peak weeks, La Rosiere has a very agreeable number of beds per piste ratio so it’s never overcrowded.

6. For strong skiers, La Rosiere comes into its own on powder days with huge areas of patrolled safe zones to explore.

7. It’s south facing and has the most fabulous 180 degree views each and every day. It’s probably one of the most panoramic and picturesque resorts in Europe.

8. there's lot’s to do in town, with a bowling alley, an ice rink, several spas and a choice of restaurants and bars for everyone. There’s even a night club!

9. Prices are still sensible in La Rosiere. Drinks, meals and lift passes will not break the bank.

10. The area is stacked in history. Hannibal and his Elephants crossed the Alps here, there is even a Fortress on the top of the mountain. The Tour de France whizzes through some summers and of course it’s the home of the St. Bernard dog.
