Early December skiing is dictated by snowfall and Val Thorens in France opens up in early December each year for the very reason that they enjoy great early snowfall and some of the best skiing in December available.
We offer great access to Val Thorens with a choice of three chalets, Chalet Anthony, Chalet Cleopatra and Chalet Flocons de Neige, located in high altitude Reberty at 2000 metres.
The village of Reberty is conveniently situated on a blue run and is a small hamlet of traditional-feeling wooden chalets and has direct access to the entire Three Valleys. With multiple options of lifts from the village, (Sunny Express, Bruyeres bubble, La Masse) you can ski directly to Val Thorens, Meribel, Saint Martin de Belleville and towards Courchevel. Our chalets are well-placed to enjoy favourable December snow conditions. Expect fairly quiet lift queues but an adult crowd. La Folie Douce has expanded their famous apres ski outdoor bar/music brand into the Three Valleys, making Val Thorens an obvious choice for some of the best skiing in December France has to offer.
Of course, it’s the onset of winter, it’s a bit hit and miss whether you will get blue skies or lots of snow. You can be assured if there is good early skiing in December, Val Thorens will be right up there amongst your choices and our lovely Reberty chalets will be open to welcome you to a great early bird ski holiday and the best skiing in December you are likely to find.
