This means that when you make a payment, your funds go directly into a secure TTA trustee account—completely separate from Alpinium. We don't have access to these funds until after your holiday is complete, ensuring your money is safe throughout the entire process.

Whether you choose to pay through bank transfer or with a credit card like Visa or Mastercard, rest assured your payments are protected. The funds remain in the TTA trustee account, safeguarded until you return from your ski holiday. In the unlikely event of financial failure, your money is protected and the TTA will step in to help offering you an alternative holiday or a full refund.

Is the TTA better than ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) ?

You might be wondering how TTA compares to other travel organizations like ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) or ATOL (Air Travel Organisers License). While ABTA requires members to follow a code of practice, it does not guarantee financial protection. Simply being an ABTA member doesn’t mean your money is safe. ATOL, on the other hand, is specific to flight providers and does not apply to all aspects of your holiday. ATOL licenses are issued (and underwritten) by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority). But check your flight provider’s ATOL number before you book for credibility.

What about credit card providers?

Using a credit card for your payments adds an extra layer of protection. If a supplier cannot deliver the holiday you’ve booked, you’re entitled to a refund from your credit card provider, who can recover the cost from the holiday provider.
